In the same vein, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made a statement on Tuesday, asking the Taliban to announce an unconditional ceasefire.

The PM has also reportedly asked the peace talk committee to stop because of the attacks carried out by the Taliban during the time talks were in progress.

In the prevailing situation, Chaudhry Nisar emphasized on the importance of a security policy for the protection of lives and properties of the people. According to Nisar, security forces and intelligence agencies will be brought together to improve their efficacy.
