Fences between Moin and Waqar being mended

It was recently reported from Lahore that the current Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, has managed to play a key role in bringing his newly appointed chief selector-cum-manager, Moin Khan and the leading candidate for head coach, Waqar Younis, closer. The two have been rumoured to have several differences amongst each other but Najam Sethi is trying his best to let the two forget about their differences so they can focus on the Pakistani cricketing team.

It is true that both the players have not enjoyed each other’s company in the past. They were both in the same team back in the day, but despite that they were still not on very good terms. They have both enjoyed captaincy every now and then and have won Pakistan vital tournaments.

Therefore, Sethi is trying his best in order to bring the two former captains closer. He believes that it is better for the Pakistani cricket team, who will now be competing in the World Cup come February 2014.

Sources state that the major issue is the fact that Waqar Younis is quite close to the current captain, Misbah Ul Haq and this is worrying for Moin Khan, who is the chief selector and will always have a say in the selection of the starting 11.
