Misbah in a Tight Spot after Moin’s Word on Captaincy

Moin Khan recently came out in the open and said that there should be change in guard in the Pakistani ODI side. This means that Misbah Ul Haq might be facing the heat once again. The current captain is now in a tight spot regarding his captaincy and no one knows whether he will continue leading the team in the future or not.

There is no doubt that the current chief selector, Moin Khan, has no authority to talk about the captaincy within the team, but now he has come out in the open and spoken to the media regarding this matter. This controversy will end once the captain is announced by the newly chosen head coach, Waqar Younis.

While talking to the media, Misbah Ul Haq said, “And if the PCB doesn’t want me [as ODI captain] what can I do?” 

There are several players in the list who can become captains in the future. One player who is currently being eyed by the Pakistani Cricket Board is the all-rounder, Shahid Afridi. After his tremendous performance in two straight tournaments, it is being said that he might be taking charge of the team in the future.
