Altaf Hussain Condemns Political Victimization of Gillani and Faheem

Altaf Hussain, the leader of Muthidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) has expressed condemnation of issuance of non-bailable warrants for the arrest of former prime ministers Yusuf Raza Gillani, Raja Pervez Ashraf and senior PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Faheem in a statement on June 2, 2014. He has called the actions by present government as political victimization.
Altaf Hussain expressed his “sympathies” with the leaders and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
“The government is registering cases of corruption against the PPP leaders who held the post of premiership and issuing non-bailable warrants against them. They have put the names of these leaders on exit-control list. I condemnation this action and express my sympathies with leaders who are being politically victimized, “ Altaf Hussain said.
MQM leader, however, did not elaborate that how the issuance of non-bailable warrants against Gillani and Faheem after ignoring court orders to appear in the court a number of times in the past.
