Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has called reaction of federal government to  brutal attack on Karachi International airport cowardly. Memon said that security forces acted on their own after the terrorist attack on Sunday night and Nawaz Sharif’s administration failed to act at that moment.

Memon told reporters, “The airport in Karachi came under attack on Sunday but Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar failed to react with enough immediacy.”

Memon further said that country’s army and security forces saved the Karachi airport from the terrorist.

Sharjeel Memon also said that federal government was irresponsible and did not inform the Sindh government about any possible attack on the Karachi airport.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also lambasted federal government for not consulting him during the terrorist attack. Chief Minister told reporters that terrorist attack was the reaction of the Sindh government targeted operation against the Taliban.

“I was present at the airport throughout the night, but the interior minister Chaudhary Nisar did not contact me even once,” Syed Qaim Ali Shah said. “Even today, I was not invited to the law and order meeting at the airport.”

Pakistan Army and Rangers arrived at the Karachi airport within 10 minutes after the airport came under attack on Sunday night.
