Member Pakistan national assembly Tahira Asif  who was injured in the murderous attack died during the medical  treatment on Thursday night. Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced three days of mourning.

Tahira Asif was critically injured during a suspected robbery attempt in Lahore when she was going to Islamabad from her residence in Lahore.  MNA Tahira Asif received four bullets and was being treated at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, where doctors operated her twice to stop the bleeding.  She was kept in the intensive care room at night in the hospital but succumbed to her injuries and died. Tahira Asif ‘s body was transferred from the hospital to her home in Johar Town, where her funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:00 pm.

MQM has declared three days of mourning, however, transport and trade will be remain open. MQM chief Altaf Hussain condemned the death and demanded government to arrest the killers in three days. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Sindh Dr Ibad and Dr. Tahirul Qadri condemned the incident and expressed their condolences to the grieved family.
