Pakistan prepared the largest national flag in the South Asia to mark the celebrations of the independence day on August 14, 2014.

The national flag is 60 feet wide and 40 feet high with an area of 2400 square feet. The Pakistani flag was prepared in Karachi in 15 days and is transported to national capital Islamabad. It is the largest national flag in the South Asian region.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will hoist the flag on a 212 feet tall pole on August 14 in Islamabad as part of the independence day celebrations.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is protesting on August 14 along with Pakistan Awami Party. Both parties have planned massive rallies in Islamabad this year on the Independence day.

India previously held the record of largest national flag.
