It is reported from hospitals in Islamabad that a number of injured during the pitched battle between activisits of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek and police sustained injuries which could not be caused by rubber bullets.

Interior Ministry sources confirmed that police did not use live rounds to disperse the protesters who were moving towards the Prime Minister House to stage sit-in.

Postmortem reports of two persons Gulfam Adil Mehmood and Rafiullah indicates bullet like foreign objects caused the wounds causing the deaths. The third person died due to drowning in a ditch for metro bus project.

Rubber bullets cannot penetrate the body whereas live bullet will cause entry and exit wounds. The nature of wounds in many injured persons suggest the possibility of live bullets.

Police sources say that police was not provided with live ammunition to rule out the possibility of using it on the protesters.

Forensic expert will be able to confirm what kind of ammunition may have caused the injuries and two unfortunate deaths. Police will have also have to investigate the possibility of using the live bullets by someone in the crowd.
