A massive volume of drugs has been seized from several parts of the country by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and was later destroyed. It apparently took five years to gather.

The narcotics were impounded by the ANF between 2011 and December 2015 with raids in various parts of the country.

According to documents, hashish and opium are the major drugs that were seized.

Balochistan was on top of the list with 492 tons of drugs confiscated, with Sindh following behind with 111 tons of narcotics destroyed in the past five years. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was placed in the third position with 91 tons while 63 tons were discovered in Punjab.

Based on document figures, the amount of impounded narcotic in 2015 against that of 2014 was higher.

In 2015, more than 261 tons of narcotics were eliminated while over 123 tons were destroyed in 2014. The same could be said about 2012 and 2013 with over 119 tons destroyed and 130 tons in 2011.

Hashish and heroin are rather popular, with opium and cocaine following.

In Balochistan, about 306 tons were confiscated, 118 tons in Sindh, 89 tons in K-P and 40 tons of destroyed drugs in Punjab.

However, no report of cocaine seizures in any province was made but a few were made in Punjab.
