Teenage boy raped, killed near Chachro

Police on Wednesday arrested three men suspected of raping and killing a 14-year-old boy who had gone missing earlier in the village of Mataro Mangria near Chachro.
According to the details provided, the suspects have been identified Muhammad Ramazan, Ali Nawaz and Muhammad Juman. The suspects were arrested shortly after the crime was committed and they confessed to raping the minor.
Station House Officer (SHO) Chachro Abdul Rehman Rahu told reporters that the victim’s 17-year-old brother approached the police and the family filed an FIR against the suspects.
The victim’s brother told reporters that his brother was on his way home when the suspects just rounded up on him and forcefully took him with them. The incident took place on Friday night and the boy’s body was not found till much later.
The victim’s body was found decomposing in a dump by the villagers.
“We took the boy to a deserted place, took turns to rape him and then threw a bottle of the acid on his body due to which he died. Then we buried his body under a sand dune,” one of the suspects claimed.
The police also recovered two phones belonging to the victim from the suspects’ possession. It is being speculated that around three to four people may have been involved in this heinous crime. The police are further investigating the case and are trying to catch the remaining suspects who might have been involved in the case.
A doctor by the name of Dr. Lekhraj conducted a post-mortem examination of the victim and said that his body had been badly affected by the acid that had been thrown on it. The doctor also confirmed that the boy had been subjected to sexual assault.
The SHO confirmed that the suspects were being produced in a district and sessions court in Mithi later today.
