Kanye West returns with a bang after year-long hiatus due to mental breakdown

Rapper Kanye West is back in the music world nearly a year after suffering a mental breakdown during his performance on stage. He made a brief musical appearance last night during a concert and appeared to have kept his feud with Taylor Swift alive.

West is a famous rapper who had a high-profile wedding with reality star Kim Kardashian. The two now have a son and a daughter, and continue to live a highly public life.

The rapper abruptly ended a tour and was hospitalized in November 2016 after unusual rants on stage which left everyone shocked. During the one year break, he received therapy and made very few public appearances.

West made his most visible appearance this year but kept his part really short as he contributed a verse on a song released by Cyhi The Prynce, an Atlanta rapper whom West earlier singed to his label.

In the song ‘Dat Side’, West talks about the dangers of fame and hits back at critics. “Neighbours said they think I gave the neighbourhood a black eye,” the 40-year-old father of two raps.

West and pop star Taylor Swift also have an ongoing rift which he seemed to have kept alive. In his 2016 song “Famous,” West boasts that the pop star may have sex with him as he takes credit for her celebrity — a reference to how he disrupted her at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift voiced anger at the lyric and hit back in “Look What You Made Me Do,” a vindictive track released in August.

West on the latest track references the name of the controversial song as he raps: “The people claim to know you… get famous on you / Then they go and blame it on you / You just good, they can’t ignore you.”

So far it has not been revealed whether West will start working full-time and restart his tour.
