Reham Khan speaks up about Imran Khan’s third marriage

Former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, Reham Khan recently spoke up about the prospects of his third marriage. In a recent interview to a news channel, Reham accused her former husband of ‘hiding it much like he hid [theirs]”.

Reham claimed that she has known about Imran’s third marriage to Bushra Maneka for a while, but says that the PTI chief may be hiding it for personal reasons. “Maybe he has some obligations, or maybe he thinks the timing right now isn’t suitable for him to announce his marriage publicly,” she said.

Reham even hinted at the marriage being against the Shariah, pointing towards the possibility that Bushra might have gotten married during her iddat period.

“I’ve learn about the marriage from reliable sources… Maybe [Imran thinks] the circumstances right now aren’t suitable to announce [the marriage] publicly… but then if that’s so, then one shouldn’t get married,” Reham said.

“Again, if you’ve done something and you continuously lie about it, deny it… in fact, I think it is very damaging,” Imran’s former wife added.

Reham said that Imran hid their marriage for a period of more than two months, and if he is doing the same thing with his third one, she won’t be surprised.

Talking about her own divorce, Reham said that getting married and making it work are ‘two very different things’.

“I think it is self-explanatory. If you keep a good behaviour and you are dedicated to making the relationship work, then you won’t reach a point where you have to get a divorce won’t come,” she said.

So far the PTI chief has not responded to any of Reham’s accusations.
