Man arrested from Islamabad for filming, blackmailing women

A man has been arrested by the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday for secretly filming and later blackmailing women.

The man was arrested from Islamabad on Tuesday after the FIA had placed tabs on him and gotten confirmation that the alleged suspect was involved in this crime.

According to the details provided, the FIA officials disclosed that the suspect has been identified as Amjad, who is the owner of a local hotel in Vehari. He is accused of filming woman through secret hidden cameras in the hotel’s rooms.

A complaint against Amjad was launched by a woman who told the FIA officials that the suspect had secretly recorded videos while she was staying at the hotel. He later started blackmailing her and even warned her of dire consequences if she filed a complaint with the authorities.

During the raid, the FIA discovered hidden cameras in the rooms. Amjad was immediately arrested after evidence against him had been collected. The FIA officials are also investigating whether the accused is a part of a network.

The Punjab government started taking strict actions against all those who indulge in such activities, after an incident of a customer being filmed at a clothing store in Faisalabad was reported. It was found out that there were hidden cameras installed in the changing rooms of a famous clothing chain.
