Kins Crunchy – The rise and fall of what could have been the best fast food chainin all the land

When we think about fast food, the first few restraints that come into mind are McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and now Hardees.

Those restraints have been dominating the fast food game in Islamabad for quite some time now and it seemed like they would have very little to no competition at all.

Personally, that’s just how I felt. However, a couple of months ago I was making my way across the F-11 markaz when I stumbled across Kins Crunchy. The menu seemed to be rather cheap and from the looks of it, the food seemed half decent as well.

As a result, I soon found myself ordering the Sizzler burger from the place and after a five minute wait, I was treated to what I would describe as one of the best burgers I had ever eaten. The consistency of the bread, the crispiness of the chicken and the perfect amount of mayonnaise made it just perefect.

Soon after I became a regular customer of the restraint visiting it at every opportunity that I possibly could.

However, after the Ramadan break that I underwent, I re-visited Kins Crunchy only to find out that all the prices had risen, which seemed alright looking at the inflation elsewhere. However, this time around my order took a massive fifteen minutes to be prepared and once it was done, things just didn’t seem right.

The buns had become smaller, the chicken less juicy and rather stale. All in all, it seemed like Kins Crunchy was trying its level best to make a massive profit while compromising on their quality.

I assumed that this could have been a onetime incident but on my repeated visits to the restraunt, I ran into the same problems time and time again.

As a result, it now seems like Kins Crunchy has officially been knocked out of the fast food race, despite having the potential to topple over the local fast food restaurants.
