Lionel Richie known as the smooth R&B singer will be seen at the country Music association awards stage in the next month to perform duets from his upcoming album named "Tuskegee". The title of the album is named after his birthplace in Alabama, stated by
the organizers.

The album “Tuskegee” is expected to release in March 2012 and will be featuring some of the biggest hits like "My Love" with Kenny Chesney, "Easy" with Willie Nelson and "Hello" with Jennifer Nettles.

The artist well renowned for producing hit romantic ballads like "Three Times a Lady" and "Endless Love” will be singing a country version of his hit song "Dancing on the Ceiling" with Rascal Flatts at televised annual CMA awards in November.

The "Tuskegee" album is one of the latest albums to be released with a series of recordings that features older artists with younger singers. The album will include crooner Tony Bennett’s recent chart-topping "Duets II" release.

Richie was quite confident for the album which will be released on the name of his hometown and further said approbation for his country roots as well as his pride in it. The project was quite neutral to him according to his statements.

Richie has been awarded with five Grammys, an Oscar, and holds more than 20 top 10 hits in a career that commenced more than 40 years ago with the Motown records.

Richie started his career with a succession of R&B groups in the mid of 1960s. Eight years later he became a renowned singer and a saxophonist with Commodores. After signing a contract with Atlantic records, the commodores were approaching towards establishment
as a popular soul group.

Some of the funky tracks recorded by Commodores were "Machine Gun" and "Brick House." Richie advanced to write and sing songs which sounded easy-listening ballads such as "Easy," "Three Times a Lady," "Still," and the tragic breakup ballad "Sail On."

In his solo career Richie released albums in the 1990s eras such as “Louder than Words” and “Time” which failed to do good at the charts. From the year 2004 he has produced a total of six top 40 singles in UK.

The artist has been recognized with some of his big hits like “hello” and has gained a firm reputation over the years and seems likely to create magic in his upcoming country genre release.
