Zong signs partnership deal with Manchester United       

Zong has signed a three-year partnership deal with world-famous football club Manchester United which will enable 10 million Pakistani football fans to watch goals, exclusive interviews and news from Old Trafford.

Rizwan Akhter, who is  a Director Advertising and Promotions in Zong, said with great pleasure , “This partnership is one of a kind coming from Pakistan and the initiative that Zong has taken to team-up with Manchester United will only lead to prosperity,
growth and triumph! For all the glory that is to come, we stand united, to take on all opportunities and victories together as one."

The Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson also said in a statement regarding that the Zong telecom company “will be a key player in allowing us to bring the passion and excitement of Manchester United to our fans in Pakistan.”

In a cricket mad country of Pakistan, football is steadily achieving reputation especially youngsters in urban areas are taking football more seriously than any other sport.

This three- year agreement with United will also help some 32 Pakistani young footballers between the ages of 10 to 18 to get trained by Manchester United players and Coaches, including Sir Alex Ferguson.                           

Although, the deal has been finalised, but many people are still anxious and waiting any possibility of Manchester United players or coaches visiting Pakistan in near future. Later, from both side’s managements have declared a joint statement, according
to that, the present uncertain and security situation is preventing that from happening until things improved here.
