Deadly dengue claims five more lives in Lahore, death toll surges 223

 

 

The reports from various hospitals and healthcare centres disclosed an alarming truth that five more people have died due to deadly dengue virus in Lahore, increasing the death toll to 323 in the provincial capital, on Sunday, October 30.

Waqas, 18, a resident of Gurumangat Road lost the battle against dengue in the Services Hospital. In the meantime, Perveen, 55, an inhabitant of Iqbal Town, Majida Bibi, 45, a resident of Pak Nagar succumbed to dengue in the Services Hospital. In addition,
Allah Rakhi of Lal Pul and 24-year-old Fauzia of Chungi Amar Sadhu became dengue victims at Sheikh Hospital.

Approximately 150 new dengue cases were reported in the Mayo Hospital and 66 in the Children’s Hospital. Around about 35 dengue patients were tested positive in the Jinnah Hospital and 87 in the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Add to that, almost 35 dengue patients
were diagnosed positive in the Services Hospital and 25 in the Lahore General Hospital.

Approximately, 55 new dengue cases had been reported in the Shaikh Zayed Hospital and 31 in the Institute of Public Health during the last 24 hours in Lahore, on Sunday. Furthermore, almost 180 dengue patients were tested positive at various private and
public healthcare centres, hospitals, laboratories and clinics in the metropolitan area.

On the other hand, many new dengue cases had been found in other areas of the province during the last 48 hours. Around about 15 dengue patients were tested positive in Faisalabad, surging the total number of dengue patients to 412 in the city, on Saturday.
Additionally, 8 dengue sufferers were tested positive in Nishtar Hospital, increasing the total number of dengue victims to 546 in Multan, on Sunday.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, almost 355 dengue patients were tested positive in different areas of the province. Meanwhile, a number of dengue cases were reported in other provinces of the country, including Sindh and Balochistan.

By seeing these facts, we can evaluate the entire situation that dengue pandemic is getting worst and worst across the country. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan team of dengue experts said that by adopting preventive measures we can control over the disease. One of
the most pivotal preventive measures is to take care of the hygiene and sanitation in the local area for the control of dengue.
