K-Mart sneaks in an early release of Modern Warfare 3

With its release just around the corner, November 8, 2011, will be a big day for the Call of Duty (CoD) fans, as Activision gears up to reveal the latest installment to their massively popular franchise – CoD: Modern Warfare 3.  

However, for the famed US hypermarket, K-Mart has reportedly sneaked an early release of the first person shooting game – and that too, six days before the official launch date.

Although this may come as a sneak attack to the whole approach, but for the gaming gurus, a real Modern Warfare 3 fan would only respect the campaign through the stereotypical custom, which is ‘annually line up outside of stores, in the dead of night, sometimes
in military gear, to wait for the moment when they can rip into the plastic packaging, and remove from the case their hard-won treasure’. For a real COD follower, this whole tradition comes not only as a launching ceremony but in fact as an event.

As for the last two releases to the whole campaign, the Modern Warfare series earned an unparalleled positive response – courtesy the whole set-up to the installment, real time graphics, thrilling action levels, and all packed with a stunning theme to it.

However, for the current matter, the officials have now stepped in to keep the official launch as well as its multiplayer perks to their scheduled release dates.

According to the Xbox Live Director of Policy and Enforcement, Stephen Toulouse, the early release multi playing features will not be allowed, and has already be counter checked with the game’s makers, Activision.

The official cited the information on Twitter, stating “[Double checked] with Activision. Mw3 pre-release play not authorized. So pls be patient. Playing early may impact your account!” 

With Gear of War 3 already hitting pinnacle, it is yet to be seen how the COD: Modern Warfare 3 following surpass the sci-fi game’s glory.
