Salman Khan does not like being compared to Rajinikanth

Bollywood action hero Salman Khan did not like being compared to the superstar from South Rajinikanth, who is also famous for his action movies.

Dazzling actress Kareena Kapoor, who acted alongside Salman in a latest action flick Bodyguard, said that the action sequences done by the latter remind her of Rajinikanth, who recently played a cameo in Shahrukh Khan’s science fiction movie Ra One.

According to Kareena, “To me, Salman is the Rajinikanth of Bollywood. His action sequences, his screen presence and specially his actions remind us of the same Rajinikanth that we saw earlier in Bollywood.”

However, Salman did not like this comparison to be made and said that he was in a completely different league.

The action hero said, “Rajinikanth is in a different league altogether. I just try and do my bit. I am aware the kind of action I do and I must admit that there may come a time when I may go a bit overboard with the action sequences and the audience may
go Itna bhi nahi yaar, aisa kya thodi hota ha (not more of this, it should not be like this). The best phase of my career is yet to come. I am not done here.”

Salman has had a lot of success in the recent past mainly because of his action movies Dabangg, Bobyguard and Wanted. However h aims to do some different roles in the future in order to show is versatility to the fans.

Kareena’s statement might end up affecting the relationship with the action hero, as he can be very moody at times.

The 45-year-old actor had a very good friendship with Shahrukh in the past, but turned against him after being dumped from the movie ‘Chalte Chalte’ for creating a ruckus on the set over the casting of actress Aishwarya Rai.

The latter was also replaced by Rani Mukherjee in the film, but the dispute between the two superstar Khans continued from then onwards.

The rivalry intensified during the birthday party of Salman’s girlfriend Katrina Kaif in 2008 and since then both Shahrukh and Salman have been at each others’ throat.
