Samsung aiming high with Google TV program 

Samsung Electronics, considered to be the world’s largest television makers, have recently claimed that they have agreed terms with Google and the two companies will be launching a television which will use Google’s software and it will offer a wide
choice for the customers who are looking for sets who are web connected.

According to the head of the company’s TV business, Yoon Boo Keun, Samsung were undecided when to launce the product. Both the parties were not really sure when to unveil the product and they were both looking forward to the right moment in order to
get the best results in terms of sales and response from the customers.

However, now Samsung believes that the time is right to unveil the product. Yoon Boo Keun said that both the parties were involved in a discussion for quite some time and they were undecided on the product’s future. However, they have no decided to
launch the product into the market soon.

Samsung, in collaboration with Google, want to get a large margin of sales in the market. They think this is the perfect time to launch the product into the market as they think it will catch a lot of customers’ eyes. Samsung believe that no such product
has been introduced in the market before and they are the first ones to build such a thing. Therefore, they might get the required number of sales from this product.

Samsung are currently aiming to sell 12 million web connected “Smart TV’s” in the span of one year. They will focus on selling this particular product throughout the year 2012 and in case they succeed they will make a huge profit for the coming year.

In the past few years, they have managed to accomplish all their selling targets. In fact, last year they managed to sell 45 million flat-screen TV’s and that simply shows that they were able to accomplish the required target.

Sources have also told that Samsung’s South Korean rivals, LG Electronics are also looking forward to unveiling a television which uses the Google TV software. However, their product is going to get launched in January during a show in Las Vegas.
