‘Little Mix’ win the X Factor UK
Girl Band ‘Little Mix’ have won this year’s X Factor UK and are the first band to win in the competition’s history. The group were ahead of the likes of Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily in the final and got most of the votes to win the reality show. They became
the first ever band to win the series and justified the ‘favourites’ tag placed on them for the past week.
Tulisa won the mentor’s title and defeated the likes of Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland who guided the Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily respectively. It was a group of hopeful singers that were merged into a group from N’Dubz singer Tulisa when the show started.
The group which consisted of four young girls were shocked with the result and admitted that they were not expecting the win. They revealed that all four of them were sure Marcus will win the show as he has had the best fan following in recent weeks.
The girl band was tipped as favourites by Simon Cowell, who was the mentor in the previous seasons for the show and now is involved in the American version. He tipped the girls to become the next big thing in the music market and admitted that they have
the potential to go to the level of Spice Girls.
“Oh my God, this is never going to sink in. We can’t thank the public enough for picking up the phone,” one member of the group was ecstatic with the win.
Louis Walsh, who is another judge on the show claimed that the band deserves the victory an all the applause they are getting because they have worked really hard. Tulisa also thanked the fans who voted for ‘Little Mix’ and vowed that the girls will not
let anyone down.
“The girls really deserve it. They are amazing. I’m really proud of myself. Thanks to everyone who voted,” she added.
Marcus Collins was voted the runner-up for the show.
