Naseeruddin Shah says Vidya Balan is a very courageous girl

The Indian/Bollywood film actor and director, Naseeruddin Shah, has commended Vidya Balan for her excellent performance in the film ‘The Dirty Picture’, which was released in the cinemas worldwide on December
2, 2011.

Bollywood buzz Vidya Balan, who played a lead role in ‘The Dirty Picture’ along with Naseeruddin Shah, was famously known for wearing Saris. She always preferred a Sari over any other western dress. However,
her bold performance in ‘The Dirty Picture’ left everyone flabbergasted and Shah thinks it was a very courageous effort from the actress.

‘The Dirty Picture’ is based on the lifestyle of a late southern sex icon, Silk Smitha, thus it is a women-oriented film as a result to which many analysts the film will not be succeed in the male-dominant
society of India. Nevertheless, the film did an excellent business and is being rated among the top 2011 movies.

At the music launch of his film Chaalis Chauraasi, Naseeruddin Shah told reporters: “She is a marvelous actress. She has been very brave, not just worked very hard but she is courageous in her choice of
work… It is a testimony to her courage that she is in a position that most of our leading ladies would envy her today.”

Shah added, “It is a wonderful thing. So hats off to the girl.”

As per the data collected from a mobile vide Vuclip, ‘The Dirty Picture’ mobile clips have attracted maximum people. The reports say that almost 13 lakh and 24 thousand people in India have watched the
clips of this movie on their mobile phones.

The film collected an amount of 9 crore on the very first day of its release before it went on to earn a lot more and perhaps this is the only reason why Vidya Balan, who showed people how good she can
look in her erotic best, is currently on the wish-list of every producer.

All left to see is whether if Vidya Balan will be able to produce the same standard of performance again or not.
