North Korea’s top policy makers have sent a new year’s message to its people to rally behind their new commander in chief Kim Jong-Un by becoming a “human shield”.
A joint editorial carried by the North’s state KCNA news agency said that,
“Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader of our Party and our people, is the banner of victory and glory of Songun Korea and the eternal centre of its unity. The dear respected Kim Jong-un is precisely the great Kim Jong-il. The whole Party, the entire army and
all the people should possess a firm conviction that they will become human bulwarks and human shields in defending Kim Jong-un unto death.”
North Korea has appointed Kim Jong-Un their new supreme leader on Thursday as the nation mourns on his father’s death Kim Jong-il.
The declaration was made in-front of hundred and thousands of military personals as well as civilians who all came to demonstrate their respects for Korea’s new designated ruler.
Last Wednesday, thousands of North Koreans arrived to bid farewell to their long time and beloved leader Kim Jong-il after their military staged a funeral in the snowy streets of the capital Pyongyang.
Kim Jong-il’s funeral started with the three-hour long procession at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, where the body of Korean leader was laid after his death on 19th December.
The recently named “Supreme Commander”, who has taken the rudder of the nuclear-armed communist country while merely in his late 20s, is going to play a brief political responsibility by meeting a collection of well-known South Koreans who have relations with the North.
