A treat for Brad Pitt fans: Moneyball is out now on DVD

Moneyball is a 2011 biographical drama film, featuring the world sexiest man – Brad Pitt. The movie is directed by Bennett Miller and was released on September 23^rd, 2011. The film is based on the 2003’s book of the same name and is distributed
by the Columbia Pictures.

The $50 million budgeted centres on the Oakland A’s general manager, Billy Beane’s (starred by Pitt) successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a very low budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. If he wants to win
the World Series, Beane must find a competitive advantage.

The film received positive reviews from all critics. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gave it a rating of 95 percent, based on reviews from 213 critics, with an average score of 8 out of 10. The site’s general consensus states, “Director Bennett Miller,
along with Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, take a niche subject and turn it into a sharp, funny, and touching portrait worthy of baseball lore.”

Lisa Kennedy of the Denver Post gave it a score of 3.5 out of 4 and declared, “Pitt, who has a producing credit, is not the sole reason this tremendous — yet intimate — sports tale soars over the fences. The bench is deep. And the script has a powerful
but finessed swing.”

Detroit News’ top film critic, Tom Long, gave the film a rating of B- and said, “Moneyball turns an unlikely subject interesting, making a professional sport the nexus where past and future collide.”

IMDB gave it a score of 7.8 out of 10 based from its 34,034 users while another review aggregator site, Metacritic, gave Moneyball a score of 87 out of 100.

Moneyball is out now on DVD and you should buy it, since it’s a must watch flick.
