Gilani to maintain the premiership: Law Minister Chandio
Islamabad: (Monday, January 16, 2012) Minister for Law Maula Bux Chandio said here today that Yousaf Raza Gilani will remain the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Claiming that all conspiracies against the parliament will fail, Chandio also disclosed that members of parliament will accompany Prime Minister Gilani while appearing before the Supreme Court in contempt of court charges on January
19.
Commenting on call of the opposition leaders for holding early elections, the Minister for Law said that the government will announce the schedule when need be arise.
Earlier, in a meeting with the President, coalition partners, senior PPP leaders and some of the federal ministers, it was decided that Prime Minister Gilani will produce himself before the apex court to abide by the court’s orders.
