Sanjay Dutt: There has never been a villain like Kancha in Bollywood

Bollywood superstar, Sunjay Dutt, is making a comeback in the Indian film industry with ‘Agneepath’ and the actor, who is known best for playing a negative role, has insisted that there has never been a villain like ‘Kancha Cheena’ in Bollywood before.

Sunjay Dutt surprised the media by saying that he couldn’t dub the climax scene of the film after 15 minutes, as the actor stated he got scared himself. The 52-year-old actor and politician stressed Kancha Cheena is a mean and menacing character and he cannot even imagine of being like him in his real life.

Sanjay said: “There has never been a villian like Kancha in Bollywood. If you see superhero films Spiderman, Batman, the villians’ roles are so powerful that throughout the film the villain gives a tough time to the hero. It’s very nice that Karan had given it a thought that the villain should be larger than life and that nobody can stand in front of him.”

“Kancha Cheena is an unpredictable character. He has interpreted the Shri Bhagavad Geeta in his own way. It’s a very complex character. It is difficult to understand Kancha,” he added.

Dutt was however very happy with the response he has got from the audiences so far.

Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’, which will be released in the cinemas worldwide on this January 26, is a remake of the 1990 Amitabh Bachchan’s classic of the same name and in the movie Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing Vijay Deenanath Chohan’s role.

Meanwhile, former Miss World Priyanka Chopra will be the female lead in the movie whereas another negative role will be played by Rishi Kapoor.

Bollywood thus far has not been able to entertain the people through remakes still there is much hype among the audiences this time as a result to which ‘Agneepath’ has become one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year but let’s see if the new version of the movie can beat the 1990s classic.
