Adrenaline Mob, a heavy metal super-group, have released a video of their first single ‘Undaunted’ from their upcoming debut album, ‘Omerta.

The band formed last year when lead guitarist, Mike Orlando, approached Symphony X vocalist Russel Allen about starting a new project. Mike Portnoy, who just left Dream Theater then, jumped onboard immediately after Allen and Orlando approached him.

The heavy metal super-group spent much of the last year recording the new album. Portnoy, drummer and percussionist, revealed that he has been overly excited while working on this new project and expects the band to be a hit among the metal fans.

“I get the feeling that Adrenaline Mob is going to be the one up and running and touring in full swing because it’s just a very live-oriented band”, Portnoy said.

The former Dream Theater drummer then went on to reveal that he has not been on the road for the past whole year and he is eagerly awaiting to start touring with his new band.

“I miss the road. 2010 was insane, I spent the whole year on the road between Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold and Transatlantic. 2011 was a nice break, I mean I worked really hard but it was a lot of studio stuff so I was able to be home for most of 2011.
I’m itching to get on the road for sure”, Portnoy concluded.

Adrenaline Mob recently announced the departures of Rich Ward, guitarist, and bassist Paul DiLeo due to prior commitments to other bands and no replacements have been announced yet. The band is set to release their debut album on March 13.
