President Zardari meets Kayani at presidency

Islamabad: (Friday, January 20, 2012) President Asif Ali Zardari met Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani here today at presidency in an informal gathering. The meeting took place when both of them marked their presence at the Nishan-e-Imtiaz
ceremony for Admiral Asif Sandila.

According to well placed sources, the President and Army chief dwelled upon and discussed the recommendations of parliamentary committee with regards to Nato attack on Pakistan army and the consequent measures taken by Pakistan to revisit its bilateral relations
with America.

Meeting at a cup of tea, matters relating to Pakistan’s economic conditions also came under discussion.
