Load shedding: A bread killer for Labourers

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 4:14:29 by

Perhaps, Pakistan is marked with load shedding. Day in day out, there is load shedding—-be it sui gas, electricity or CNG. This country is hell of crises. But the problem is that these predicaments only affect the lower class of the society while the middle
manages to survive and the upper one does not even bother about this mess.

Have our so-called democratic rulers ever thought about thousands of those labourers who have turned jobless and penniless due to the murderous outages of gas and power? Not at all. They do not need to do so as they are satisfied with their self-assumed
perception of having provided ‘Rooti, Kapra, Makan’ to every Pakistani.

A mill worker, who earns two or three hundred a day and lives on it by hook or crook, cannot have even one loaf of dry bread if he is not get paid; and as per the stupid capitalist system, mill owner can never pay him unless he extract every single drop
of blood from his veins.

Now think of the ratio of lead shedding. You will be shocked to know that our factories can hardly work three to four hours a day. In this situation, how can labourers get work and earn bread. No way! There is no way at all for this.

Now think of the increasing crime ratio and terrorism. Are they not by-products of the above-mentioned deprivations? Of course, they are. Then how can you expect a crime-free, peaceful, prosperous and civilised Pakistan. It will be silly to expect so as
long as the root causes of the problems are not cut aside.

No one will come from sky to address these issues, we have to do it. Though it seems to be a hard nut to crack, but not impossible. Now the question is how can we do it? The very simple and only answer is that we can do it by electing fair administrators.
And believe me, the fair administrators cannot stem from the traditional politics.

Be broad, be open and be sensible. Use the power of your votes to install sincere guys in the parliament. I do not want to suggest any party or person over here. I hope, the readers of this article will have enough insight to adjudge the righteous ones.
