Salman Khan says Katrina Kaif recommended him for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known as Sallu, is someone who doesn’t need any introduction in the film industry but the actor has recently passed a flattering statement, in which he revealed that his ex-flame Katrina Kaif was the one who has got him a role in Kabir Khan’s forthcoming film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, his first ever Yash Raj film.

Salman Confirmed: “To start with, it’s a fantastic film that Katrina got. And in fact, she was the one to — in a way — get me in Ek Tha Tiger. (At the start) Katrina was the one to tell Kabir (Khan; director) to come and meet me (regarding the film).”

“I had watched some of Kabir’s videos when he was working on Kabul Express (2006).

At that time, he had showed me a few shots – which he had canned — on DVD. When I saw his work, I had realised — immediately — that he has got something in him,” said Salman.

Both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif remained in a serious relationship for quite some time but it has been almost four years now since they have maintained a distance.

This news has shocked almost everyone in the country because they all know how the flamboyant star, Salman, went out of his way to help Katrina make a place in Bollywood.

Nevertheless when the director of the film, Kabir Khan, was contacted in order to confirm the news, he simply laughed it off and rejected all reports. However, he did wonder why Salman is thanking Katrina for the role.

Kabir remarked, “Salman must have been joking. I don’t think anyone needs to suggest his name for a film. But nothing of that sort happened.”

‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which is scheduled to hit the cinemas on August 17, 2012, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of this year and the reason behind the films enormous hype is obviously the presence of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, as people anxiously want to see both stars together once again.

Well, no matter what the truth is, Salman has certainly made a lot of people curious by bringing Katrina into the picture.
