Thomas de Maiziere, General Bertrand Ract-Madoux and Rao Qamar call upon COAS
Rawalpindi: (Tuesday, March 13, 2012) Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani has had a busy day today as Mr Thomas de Maiziere, German Defence Minister, General Bertrand RACT-MADOUX, Chief of Staff, French Army and
outgoing Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman called on him at General Headquarters.
The visiting dignitaries remained with COAS for some time and discussed the matters of professional interest.
Earlier on arrival at General Headquarters a guard of honour was presented to the French Army Chief by a smartly turned out contingent at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
While in a farewell meeting with Rao Qamar, the COAS appreciated his services as Chief of Air Staff, particularly his efforts at enhancing inter services cooperation and the role of PAF in supporting the ongoing operations against
terrorists.
