Wassan resolves to take strict action against extortionists

Karachi: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan, while responding to the local traders and MQM’s demand to contain the extortionists, has said that strict actions will be taken to guard the peaceful dwellers of the metropolis of Karachi.

Talking to the journalists here today, Wassan admitted that they had received complaints of extortions from different parts of Karachi, and that they were to take strict actions against the extortionists.

The Home Minister Sindh was of the view that just like target killing, new strategy will be devised to curb extortion in the economic hub of Pakistan.

Commenting on MQM’s protests over the deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, Wassan said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is and will remain ally of PPP, adding that Altaf Hussain is a wise person.

Pointing towards the recent development, he said rangers have been given police charges to deal with every issue.
