Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Agent Vinod’, which has been directed by Sriram Raghavan, has finally hit the cinemas but unfortunately the much-awaited film would not gather as expected and the main reason behind is obviously the ban which Pakistani Film Censor Board has put on it.

Pakistan banned the movie because they think it shows their country in a bad light. However, the 41-year-old actor doesn’t agree with the fact.

Saif told the media that there is Jingoism in his film and eventually people will get to know it after watching the film.

“Agent Vinod presents a particular view of Pakistan and that’s exactly the view that I too happen to share personally,” said Saif. “Yes, so on paper Pakistan is our enemy. However, in their culture too there are people who are good and don’t war with India. On the other both India and Pakistan have certain villains who represent ugly side of the two countries. Our film shows this fight against bad elements; that’s about it. There is no jingoism whatsoever. I hope that globally people watch this film in huge numbers and see the real truth.”

One of Saif Ali Khan’s close friends also shared his thought about the movie. He too claimed that in Agent Vinod Pakistan has not been shown in a bad light.

“To begin with, it has now been revealed that even though Kareena is playing a Pakistani character in the film, contrary to rumours she isn’t playing a negative character in the film,” informed a source close to the actors. “Yes, there are certain good and bad Pakistanis, just as there are good and bad Indians. However, Kareena plays a good Pakistani and since she is the film’s leading lady, this by itself should quash the rumours that the country is shown in bad light.”

‘Agent Vinod’ has featured Saif Ali Khan in the lead role opposite to his real life girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. Let’s see how much the movie gather at the Box Office.
