Nawaz Sharif once again slams the federal government

Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif has slammed the federal government and the provincial government of Sindh for the pathetic law and order situation in Karachi.

Karachi is the most important city of Pakistan and the country’s economy relies on the Sindh capital. However, the situation in Karachi has not been good since last couple of decades and most of the political analysts believe that three major political parties
of Karachi are responsible for this chaos.

These parties are Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Mutahida Qoumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP). These parties are fighting against one another in Karachi but quite ironically, all of them are part of the coalition government at the centre.

Thousands of people were killed in Karachi last year as target-killing increased at a rapid pace. Supreme Court of Pakistan intervened in the matter but failed to give any strong verdict, even though, there were proofs and it was also mentioned in the issued
report that all the political parties have armed wings.

There is a general opinion in the public that the Supreme Court should have taken a strict action against the culprits and the leniency shown by the judiciary is now proving costly for the people of Karachi.

The leader of PML (N) is of the opinion that all these parties are corrupt and they should be held responsible for the brutal killing of innocent people in the city.

Nawaz said, “Supreme Court has pinpointed that all the political parties have their armed wings except our party, extortion and no-go areas were unknown to the people before some time, this is product of current rulers who are collecting money for their
next coming generations.”

While talking about the energy crisis in the country, Nawaz once again put the blame on the federal government and said that Yousuf Raza Gillani and his cabinet has failed to deliver the goods for the country.

There are immense protests going on all over the country against the load-shedding of electricity and gas. Nawaz feels that it is the natural outcome of the pain which an ordinary citizen is going through in the country.

“When people are facing load shedding up to 20 hours, this reaction is completely natural,” he added.
