Alia Atkinson and Jasmine Tosky dominate swimming events – Santa Clara International Grand Prix

Alia Atkinson and Jasmine Tosky dominated gold medals of Women’s 100m breaststroke and 200m butterfly respectively at the 2012 Santa Clara International Grand Prix.

Her immaculate pace placed her considerably ahead of her opponents and she touched the finishing end for first position with the timing of 1 minute and 08.45 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Kate Haywood of Great Britain, who remained 1.23 seconds apart and stepped on the medal rostrum for silver medal with the timing of 1 minute and 09.68 seconds.

The second position holder was chased by Katlin N Freeman of Santa Barbara Aquatics, who was just 0.31 seconds apart and tapped the finishing blockade with the timing of 1 minute and 09.99 seconds.

Following that, Tosky captured gold medal of the 200m butterfly event. The 18-year-old Tosky stayed comfortably ahead of her opponents and tapped the finishing end for gold medal. With her alluring efforts, she sprinted her way towards the finishing blockade
with the timing of 2 minutes and 09.66 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Kimberly Vandenberg of New York Athletics, who remained 0.36 seconds slower and tapped the finishing end for silver medal with the timing of 2 minutes and 10.02 seconds.

Third spot of the race was secured by Rita Medrano Munoz of Mexico, who suffered a deficit of 0.13 seconds from her foregoing finisher and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 10.15 seconds.

Third event of the session was Women’s 200m IM, where Caitlin Leverenz putsmarted her opponents. Leverenz demonstrated her stupendous efforts in the four-lap IM event and kept her challengers at a considerable bay for the crown. With her alluring skills,
she sprinted her way towards the finishing blockade and tapped the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 10.81 seconds.

The gold medallist was followed by Madeline J Dirado of Unattached-PC, who remained nearly three seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by posting a time of 2 minutes and 13.70 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Kate E Dwelley of Unattached-PC, who stayed 2.44 seconds apart and hit the finishing blockade for bronze medal by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 16.14 seconds.

Furthermore, the championship ended after the conclusion of all events.
