Former WBA heavyweight champion, David Haye, will lock horns with the former British heavyweight champion, Dereck Chisora, on July 14 at the West Ham’s Upton Park, in a fight that is fuelled by bad blood.

Both fighters literally came down to blows in front of the world’s media in Munich in February as a result to which a lot of criticism came their way. Chisora’s was fined heavily and his boxing license was also taken away by the WBC but no charges were brought against Haye since he already had walked away from the sport.

In spite of all these things, many out there believe the brawl between the two was all staged in order to set up their fight.

However, when asked Haye, he denied the accusations and claimed that there was nothing like it.

“I was working for BoxNation so that’s why I was there,” explained Haye to the Voice of Sport. “I know the conspiracy theorists out there think it was a set-up but there was nothing set-up about breaking (Chisora’s trainer) Don Charles’s jaw and beating up Dereck Chisora. And if it was a set-up, it was set-up really badly by him because he came off looking like a right t*t.”

Haye, more commonly known as the Hayemaker, walked away from the sport last October after he suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko. The Brit at that time claimed that he will only return to boxing, if he gets a fight against any of the Klitschkos.

Therefore, when asked about it, Haye admitted that he is hoping a win over Chisora will lead him to a potential fight with Vitali or Wladimir may be.

“That [a fight against a Klitschko brother] would be an ideal situation but whether it happens or not remains to be seen but I’m not holding my breath, put it that way.

“After this fight that’s it. The whole idea behind this fight was to get a rematch or a fight with Vitali but it doesn’t really look like either of those are viable options now. I’ll retire on a win.”

Well, let’s see if Haye can really beat Chisora in an impressive manner.
