PM expresses resolve to restore peace in Karachi
Karachi: (Monday, June 25, 2012) Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said here today that his government will take every step necessary to overcome the persistent issue of loadshedding and will also do its best to restore
peace in Karachi.
PM Ashraf said this while addressing a gathering at the MQM headquarters ‘90’ after he met the party leaders.
Requesting all the stakeholders to play their role in restoring peace in Karachi, the PM appealed them to set aside their hatred and get engaged into mutual dialogue for the peace of the city.
He was of the view that the country was at a stage where instead of hatred, love and solidarity was required. He said, “Every patriotic Pakistani understands that we need love instead of hatred.”
At the end of his address, PM Ashraf said that he will do the best to fulfill the expectations of the MQM leaders. He said that he would never betray the trust of Altaf Hussain.
