Islamabad: (Monday, July 23, 2012) Dr. Arsalan Iftikhar said here today that he has not got any notice from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as yet to appear before its investigation team.

Talking to the journalists, Arsalan said that he was waiting for the notice. He also said that he did not have faith in the investigation team and that he was to tell this to them as well.

Taking on with the case, the NAB has summoned the Supreme Court Registrar Dr Faqir on July 25, while Dr Arsalan has been summoned on July 26.

In order to have their formal statements recorded, NAB had summoned Dr Arsalan, Salman Ahmed and Ahmed Khalil.

Salman Ahmed, who is in London these days, informed the investigation team that he could have life threats in Pakistan, and thus he should be allowed to record his statement from London.

A NAB’s spokesman, while talking to the media personnel, said that the NAB team was ready to travel to London to record Salman Ahmed’s statement.

According to NAB sources, Ahmed Khalil is in Germany these days for his medical treatment.
