Quetta: (Wednesday, August 08, 2012) Protesting against the forced abduction of Dr Ghulam Rasool, the doctors’ strike in Balochistan has entered in eighth day.
The doctors in Balochistan, including Quetta, are observing this strike on request of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) to push the government to make efforts for release of Dr Ghulam Rasool’s Bolan Medical Complex (BMC).
Responding to the call from the PMA, all the outdoor Patient Departments of all government and private hospitals remained closed across the province.
Psychiatrist Dr Ghulam Rasool was abducted from Brewery Road on August 1, 2012.
The doctors have vowed to continue their protests until the recovery of Dr Rasool. While the government and the security authorities are unmoved over the protests by the doctors, these the common citizens of Balochistan that are
suffering in result of the doctors strike.
