POL prices likely to go up from Aug 16

Islamabad: (Friday, August 10, 2012) With the POL products getting expensive in the international oil market, the domestic market is also likely to observe a significant price hike in various petroleum products. According to the
sources, the government is mulling over increasing petrol prices by at least Rs. 1 per litre .
Similar to petrol, the prices of diesel, light diesel and kerosene oil is also likely to go up by one rupee, while the price of HOBC will be raised by Rs 2 per litre.
The decision to raise POL prices have been made after their price in international market has gone up by at least $ 2.
