Zardari, Karzai meet in Saudi Arabia, discuss bilateral ties

Makkah: (Wednesday, August 15, 2012) President Asif Ali Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who are in Saudi Arabia these days, met on the sidelines of the extra ordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference
(OIC).

The OIC meeting has been called by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in this holy city to discuss the challenges facing Ummah and to further strengthen unity and solidarity among the Muslim world.

According to the sources, during the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral ties, regional situation, and peace process in Afghanistan and others issues of mutual concerns.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Interior Minister Reman Malik, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Muhammad Naeem Khan were also present during the meeting.
