Bipasha Basu: I am very proud of my role in Singularity

The bong beauty Bipasha Basu is all set for her first ever Hollywood ride with ‘Singularity’. Directed by Roland Joffé of ‘City of Joy’, the film will feature Bipasha as a Maratha warrior in the period romance and the actress says she is very proud of her role.

“I am very proud of my role in Singularity. It pushed me into the territory of period romance. It was a very emotional ad challenging role,” Bipasha told PTI.

‘Singularity’ locked many headlines in the country since it came to a halt due to financial issues. At that time many out there thought the film would not see the day light but they have been proved wrong, as it is back on the track and ready to release.

While speaking on her inclusion, the 33-year-old revealed that she finished shooting the film last month and now it’s going to hit the cinema halls pretty soon.

“We are dubbing the film now and it is going to get released soon. It is a very big project but went through a bit of financial crisis. Roland is an amazing director and he thought I was fabulous as an actor. It was different. I had no baggage while doing the film so I adopted very well and learnt like a new student,” Bipasha said.

Bipasha has always been a fitness enthusiast and perhaps this is a reason why she didn’t have any problems in the places like Australia and in the rocky terrain of Chambal, Orchha and Gwalior in India.

“Roland was very fond of me because I was pretty agile,” Bipasha said.

Well, all said and done, let’s see how Bipasha has performs on the Hollywood’s big screen.

As far as India is concerned, the actress is currently awaiting the release of Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Raaz 3’ in which she has played a lead role opposite to the likes of Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta.
