Bollywood director-turned-producer is having a high time in the industry these days since he is enjoyed the biggest commercial success ever in a career spanning four decades. However, Bhatt, who has turned 63 today, continues to be as down-to-earth stance as he has always been.

While sharing thoughts with the media, the senior member of Bhatt clan stated that there is a lot of difference between the audience and the critics. Bhatt said his recent film ‘Raaz 3’ was criticised much yet it is doing pretty well at the box office.

Bhatt insisted box office results and critics doesn’t bother him anymore.

“That’s because it is someone’s bread and butter to criticize while for us it is to continue making films,” he says in a matter of fact tone.

Bhatt further added that critics wrote him off when he started his career but he is still in the industry and at a very good position.

In the end, he narrated example of superstar Salman Khan, whose latest film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ broke many box office records.

Bhatt said Salman was also having a bad time a few years back but today he is on cloud nine and most of the actors in industry can’t even touch him.

“Look at Salman Khan, weren’t his obituaries written four-five years ago? Today he is at such an enviable position that it is difficult for most to even touch him. Same is the case with Emraan Hashmi as well. Poor guy was written off after his very first film. After that even when he was delivering successes, he was not taken seriously. Today he is taking an opening weekend of over 35 crores when so many others are struggling to get even half of that. What does that say? You can’t keep down talent and sooner you wake up to that fact, the better. All India audience has a mind of its own, let’s not negate that fact,” he says.
