Daiya Seto and Jennie Johansson win gold medals – FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup

Daiya Seto and Jennie Johansson won gold medals of Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) and Women’s 100m breaststroke respectively at the 2012 FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup in Doha.

Seto stayed more than a body length ahead of his following swimmer and cruised his way towards the finishing wall for gold medal by producing a time of 4 minutes and 02.51 seconds.

The gold medallist was traced by Laszlo Cseh, who remained 1.20 seconds behind and made his way to the medal rostrum for silver medal by touching the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 03.71 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Chaosheng Huang, who stayed almost four body lengths behind and tapped the wall for bronze medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 07.58 seconds.

Huang was trailed by Weijia Liu, who stayed nearly 10 seconds slower from his foregoing finisher and surfaced on the wall as fourth fastest swimmer by producing a time of 4 minutes and 17.84 seconds.

Fifth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Sheng Jun Pang, who was almost four body lengths apart and clocked an effort of 4 minutes and 21.47 seconds.

Afterwards, Johansson captured the title of 100m breaststroke. With her laudable efforts in the four-lap freestyle discipline, Johansson enjoyed a lead of almost one body length over her strongest competitor and snared the crown by producing a time of 1
minute and 06.11 seconds.

The gold medallist was trailed by Fumiko Kawanabe, who stayed 0.85 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing blockade as second position holder by clocking a time of 1 minute and 06.96 seconds.

Third spot of the race was secured by Joline Hoestman, who remained 0.29 seconds behind and emerged on the finishing end as third best finisher by clocking a time of 1 minute and 07.25 seconds.

Hoestman was followed by Miku Kanasashi, who stayed full body length behind and transpired on the finishing wall as fourth best finisher by touching the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 08.13 seconds.

Furthermore, the position holders received medals for their efforts after the event.
