Daiya Seto and Katinka Hosszu capture gold medals – FINA Swimming World Cup

Daiya Seto and Katinka Hosszu captured gold medals of the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) and Women’s 200m freestyle respectively at the 2012 FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup in Tokyo.

Seto continued his exhausting efforts from the beginning and tapped the wall for gold medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 00.02 seconds.

The champion was chased by Yousuke Mori, who remained 6.92 seconds slower and tapped the wall for silver medal with an effort of 4 minutes and 06.94 seconds.

Mori was followed by Kousuke Hagino, who stayed 0.76 seconds slower and surfaced on the wall for bronze medal with a timing of 4 minutes and 07.70 seconds.

The bronze medallist was trailed by Takeharu Fujimori, who remained 0.73 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end as fourth best finisher by submitting an effort of 4 minutes and 08.43 seconds.

Fujimori was chased by Naoki Nakatani, who suffered a deficit of almost two body lengths from his former finisher and tapped the wall for fifth place by reporting an effort of 4 minutes and 10.26 seconds.

After that, Hosszu captured gold medal of the Women’s 200m freestyle. She remained half a body length ahead of Jakabos as she tapped the wall for gold medal with a wonderful timing of 1 minute and 54.94 seconds.

The champion was followed by Zsuzsanna Jakabos, who remained 0.42 seconds slower from her former finisher and reached the wall with a nice effort of 1 minute and 55.36 seconds.

The silver medallist was traced by Kelly Stubbins, who was full body length apart and transpired on the finishing blockade for third spot with the timing of 1 minute and 56.50 seconds.

Subsequently, fourth spot of the event was obtained by Melanie Schlanger, who remained 0.01 seconds behind and settled on the finishing end with the timing of 1 minute and 56.51 seconds.

Fifth fastest spot of the race was chased by Maho Takiguchi, who stayed was only 0.12 seconds apart and made her way to the finishing blockade by submitting a time of 1 minute and 56.63 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts at the prize ceremony of the tournament.
