Skyfall – Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes

Skyfall is the 23^rd film of the James Bond Series which is directed by Sam Mendes and produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. It stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, and Albert Finney.

The flick is distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia Pictures and was released on October 23^rd in United Kingdom and 9^th November in United States.

In this blockbuster, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

The movie has topped the Box Office since its release and has bagged $90.6 million.

The film receives 92 per cent positive rating from 252 critics in Rotten Tomatoes.

General consensus by Rotten Tomatoes states:

“Sam Mendes brings Bond surging back with a smart, sexy, riveting action thriller that qualifies as one of the best 007 films to date.”

Richard Corliss of the Time Magazine stated,

“The cool accomplishment of Skyfall, 23rd in the Broccoli franchise, is that it seems a necessary, rather than mandatory, addition to the year’s popular culture.”

Top film critic of Miami Herald, Rene Rodriguez, gave the movie a rating of 3.5 out of four. He stated:

“Mendes’ approach to action is classical and elegant – no manic editing and blurry unintelligible images here – but what makes the movie special is the attention he pays his actors.”

San Francisco Chronicle’s Mick LaSalle gave it a three out of four rating and praised by stating,

“”Skyfall” is a different kind of Bond movie, one that works just fine on its own terms, but a steady diet of this might kill the franchise. One “Skyfall” is enough.”

Overall, its a MUST watch movie.
