PML nominates BNP’s Abdul Malik to lead Balochistan

Pakistan Muslim League (N) Sunday nominated Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch of National Party as its candidate for the slot of Chief Minister of Balochistan.

 

 

This was announced by PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif while addressing a news conference after the meeting of the party and coalition partners to discuss formation of government in Balochistan in Murree on Sunday afternoon.

 

Mian Nawaz Sharif said it has also been decided that Governor of the province will be from Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party. He said the government in Balochistan will be transparent and promote merit and good governance in the province. He said PML-N has displayed a spirit of sacrifice for the greater interest of the country.

 

PML-N Chief said we have always talked about creating stability in Balochistan and ending the violence there. He said today is the day of celebration for all those parties who talk about rule of law and supremacy of the constitution and have fought against the forces of tyranny and dictatorship.

 

Speaking on the occasion‚ leader of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai said it is a good omen that a party that has overwhelming majority in the province has invited the coalition to constitute the government. He said the attitude of Punjab in this regard is purely democratic and Pukhtun and Baloch will stand by the PML-N for the implementation of its agenda.

 

He said as a result of the coalition a strong government will be established in the province that will lay the foundation of truly democratic Pakistan. He said the day will be remembered as a milestone for the resolution of problems of the country and the province.

 

Secretary General of National Party Mir Hasil Bizenjo thanked PML-N leader for nominating Dr. Abdul Malik for the slot of Chief Minister of the province. He expressed his commitment to resolve all the problems of the province and put it on the path of development.

 

PML-N provincial president Sanaullah Zehri said his party will extend full cooperation to the provincial government. He said our coalition government is committed to end corruption and violence from the province.9-14-2011_22718_l
