Unidentified Saturday gunmen fired at a vehicle of paramilitary soldiers in the earthquake-hit Balochistan province and killed three of them, officials said.

Two more soldiers of the Frontier Corps were injured in the attack in Panjgur district, a spokesman said.

The security forces were on a routine patrolling when they came under attack near a check post.

No group claimed responsibility. Anti-government insurgents are blamed for attacks on security forces.

The attack occurred at a time when rescue teams of the army, paramilitary forces and private agencies are busy in rescue and relief operations in areas devastated by a power earthquake on Tuesday.

Officials say that death toll from the 7.7 powerful intensity of earthquake has reached 400.

Two helicopters of the security forces also escaped in rocket attacks in the earthquake hit areas.

The insurgents groups say they will welcome international and private aid and will target the security forces.
