Three killed, 10 injured in Chaman blast

At least three persons were killed and 10 others injured including five security personnel in a powerful explosion on Pak-Afghan border area of Balochistan, Official sources confirmed Wednesday.

The explosion occurred near the ‘Bab-e-Dosti’ (friendship gate) as security personnel were checking the people entering into Pakistan.

“At least three persons were killed and ten others injured including five personnel as a result of blast”, Assistant Commissioner Chaman Ismaeel Ibrahim told reporters.

It is premature to say if it was a suicide attack, he added. 

Following the incident, the flow of traffic across the border has been suspended.

The Levies sources said that blast occurred when the meeting between the border officials of Pakistan and Afghanistan was in progress.

The helicopter have left Khalid Airbase Quetta to evacuate the injured to Combined Military Hospital Quetta.
