Chinese company hands over 121 MW power project to WAPDA

A Chinese company has formally handed over the operations of one-hundred and twenty-one megawatts hydropower project to Water and Power Development Authority.

The Chinese Dongfang Electric Corporation has built the Allai Khwar project in Batgram district on the tributary of Sindh River.

It has been completed in seven and a half years at a cost of 13.8 billion rupees.

The Chinese company had earlier successfully completed 1‚450 megawatts Ghazi Barotha power house‚ 96 megawatt Jinnah hydropower project in Kalabagh and 72 megawatts Khan Khwar hydropower project in Shangla.
